Boy Trips And Destroy US$1.5 Million Painting

Taiwanese schoolboy, age 12 had no idea what the painting in-front of him is worth, if he had an idea, he would not have got too close to the painting or rest on it when he tripped ::: As he stumbled toward the painting, he extended his arms to keep from falling, making contact with the artwork and leaving a hole the size of a fist. The organizers won’t ask the boy’s family to pay for costs to restore valuable painting, since the boy is not guilty, and the artwork is already secured. “Flowers” is otherwise Porpora’s only signed work and comes from 1660.
