Top Nigerian pop musicians Davido and Yemi Alade got nominated for MTV European Music Awards ::: Nigerian stars Yemi Alade and Davido will battle it out with AKA (South Africa), and Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania). However, MTV has left a spot open, giving music lovers across the continent the power to tweet and vote for the fifth ‘wildcard’ nominee in the category.
The wild card nominees are: Wizkid (Nigeria), KO (South Africa), Stonebwoy (Ghana), Cassper Nyovest (South Africa) and DJ Arafat (Cote d’Ivoire). Voting is open until Monday, September 14.
Fans are free to pick their fifth nominee by voting on Twitter with the hashtags: #NominateWizkid, #NominateKO, #NominateStonebwoy, #NominateCassper and #NominateDJArafat.
